Hi guys,

some of the concept artists / designers well known today are graduate of industrial design (like feng zhu, ryan church, scott robertson etc.).
Now my question would be, do you know books that they used for industrial design?
i like the way they do drawings in front view, side view, top view and from there they would create or draw things like in 3d and also when they draw cars, nature, buildings...

i have books from andrew loomis, but it's mostly for illustrator, hopefully you could give me advise for books or reference just like andrew loomis book, but for industrial design. or any industrial design books.

Thanks.

Take a look at Scott Robertson's site--he's published books on industrial design/concept art in the last few years.

For the different views, go to a used bookstore and get a few books on drafting. And remember that the common four view windows in many 3D programs are set up that way to emulate drafting and CAD techniques. Drafting is a bit old fashioned now, as most of that type of work is all done on CAD software now, but knowing basic drafting techniques give a good solid base.
