CGTalk - save memory preferences?

Hi guys,
I guess I'm missing somthing here, I've been trying to increase the compact memory of zbrush to 2046, (I have 2 gigs of ram). The only problem is that I cannot figure out how to save the settings. Every time I open zbrush the mem is back at 256. This is really annoying, considering I can't work on my highres stuff.
Any help would be great.

It should be as simple as ->preferences->config->store config
