View Full Version : first WIP head - please be gentle
basilisk 04-23-2003, 02:33 PM This is my first cg character, and will probably need remodelling, as I may discover when I try to animate him. I would like feedback mainly on the characterisation - I would like to know what sort of character you think he is, what sort of things he would do - so I can see how well I am communicating my concept. I plan to use him in a short animation, mainly as an exercise.
Other comments welcome, though I am aware the textures need work (no face texture yet) and maybe I should give him some ears.

here it is...
I include concept sketches in case any one is interested - I have diverged somewhat, but then the original sketches are pretty basic.

I think you've got a good start here. The symmetry seems to be off or maybe it's just the angle. Secondly, the mesh could use some tweaking. The moustache texture is not so good either but I think you're on your way here, don't stop now. Keep em coming!
