I´m just about to buy a new rig, it will be used for 3d modeling & animation this is what they offer me:
CPU INTEL CORE 2 QUAD Q6600 2.4GHz QUAD CORE CACHE 8MB (or DUO..)
MOBO MSI PLATINUM SOCKET 775 FSB1333 DDR2 1066/800/667
RAM 4 GB DDR2 800 PC2-6400 KINGSTON
HD 250 GB WESTERN DIGITAL SERIAL ATA II 7200 RPM
VIDEO XFX GEFORCE 7300 GT PCI-E 512 DDR2 (Maybe I would get a 8500 gt 256MB DDR2)
well, what do you think?
