I like it.
There is a problem with the width of the upper set of arms/shoulders. Without being wider then the lower set the creature would experience extereme discomfort and be unable to drop the upper set of arms to its side in a relaxing manner. Try increasing the width of the soulfders of the upper arms so they extend out past the lower set.

Looks very good..but I think the hands are too big and the area in the middle of the chest looks like it's gonna crack:eek: the fingers look a bit un-detailed and all the same.
I really like the "rope" around his arm..that really looks good

Nice interesting character man. Good detail to this point, should look great if well textured and animated. I was wondering what your polycount is so far?

ummm, really good looking, but dunno why iŽd like it much more without those perfect-defined abs. A bigger stomach would make him more interesting :D
Keep it up!
hmmmm...yah the abs are coming out .....cuz there will be armor over that area........but I did need to block the shape first
alright I'll be back

i like this guy (the bald version makes his face more interesting, don't care much for the way the face interacts with the hair in the other version).
I agree with whoever said the upper set of shoulders needs to be wider than the lower set. And I think the problem with the chest below the pecs is that there is no set of muscularature for the second set of arms.
I suggest experimenting with a second set of pecs, under the primary pecs... if you can make it work that is. (I'm actually doing something similar with a project of my own)
okay just a small update......I'm at the point where tired is making me unable to work with any speed really ....so it's off to bed.......

Are you a fan of Hyun Min Woo? The more work you do on this model the more he reminds me of "Doomslave"

That is one really nice model.
I really like the webbing between the arms very unique.
The only real problem i can see with it is that it does look as thought you have stuck a head shoulders and arms onto another body. Maybe try to add some interesting anotomy around the lower shoulders to make it look more believable.
Anyway good luck
AJ
k this is insanely cool, (so's your female wip btw), what is it for?
oh and once people really learn your name here your threads are going to be mobbed with thousands of subserviant noobs and pros alike so dont worry about the low reply count.

Oh that`s great :) really detailed model
I would only make two handed character, I don`t like this kind of demons, but I`m not saying, it`s not good. It`s your feeling, and your model, so You can do anything you want to.
I`ve just voice my oppinion

very nice modelling you've got on these works from feb 2002, i know im out of date here, but I'm noticing a lack of anatomically correct/proportional hands on each of these three works (demon ogre and elf) ... it also feels like you just cut the hands off and made instances of them model to model. Nothing really wrong with that, but you've got good talent that I feel is hindered a bit and not taken to its fullest, especially if you don't re-model things such as hands.
The hands looks really flat on both sides (the thumb for example, as well as the knuckles) and really wide, when I said the proportions are off, I'm not referring to giant hands on a small body, but more in a width manner. You should really take the time to study them, but who knows, it's been over a year since those and you probably have.
Carve into those hand muscles like you do the forearm on the demon, and don't neglect the upper chest/shoulders and thighs of the other models, there's a lot happening there structurely that is beautiful when considered fully.
I just felt like adding my thoughts.

<<<FOLLOW UP>>>
my mistake, I looked at the date in which you registered cgtalk, which is feb2002, which is why i said they're a year old a couple times. just thought I'd clarify.
hey potato .....thanks for the imput and of course your right...
the reason for the hand sharing is just the time contrants I'm under trying to get the short done....other wise I would spend more time on them......time however is way short....
I do have some other hands as well.......I just liked these ones the most at the time.......
thanks again for your crits.....

That is some really great style! One thing that came to mind looking at this was how ironic it would be to see the demon on a double crucifix (to allow for all four arms). ;)

Add some fur to him and it will be Kintro (mk2) insted of Goro.
Add belle hole
Add ears
that pose make me want to see something in his hands like a mouth in his hand to leech blood out of people. just not sure.
