I managed to close the animation palette and now I'd like to show it again. NOT the timeline. That's different. I'm talking about that narrow horizontal bar which displays the frames, and controls for animation.

If I select "Standard" from the available layouts, it will bring it back. But I don't want that. I just want to show the animation palette. The help file does have a section on it, it just forgets to mention how to bring it back other then selecting the standard layout. And I don't find any other commands anywhere in the menu (other then, of course selecting the standard layout).

you can just save the palette from another layout and load it back in, or you could rebuild it, you'll need to open up the command manager and go into edit mode for the layout, then just drag out the parts, the timeline/powerslider, the rewind, play, stop etc buttons and then dock the new palette, it would probably be easier to just save/load. btw make sure you've not simply folded it, you'd see that as simply a slightly thicker dividing bar between the main viewport and the materials manager, just click to unfold.
