Should I say something about it? I have a problem with the correct positions of mouth, nose, eyes and ears. Amazing what a few millimeters can do about realism.
Oh, and the mesh around the mouth is not so well designed currently - I already know this.
btw. I tried to keep the mesh as simple as possible.

it's not that bad, but frankly we can't see she's a woman.
It's hard to tell what is wrong, did you use reference pics ? It help a lot.
Maybe the head is too large.

Hmm, I think the basically "clues" of a feminine head are missing. Like for example the head is too rectangular-ish and the nose is has no "sculpted" quality to it. Hmm, look at the illustrations below to see what I mean.

it looks very much like a man. only thing that really bugs me is the ear. the back part looks fine but the interior part needs some work.

I'd take a look at the cheek bones again. She's very manly at the moment.

hm. I guess it is getting male whenever I am repositioning the facecomponents. Must be because my own mirror image is best known to me.
Well I am working on it. Meanwhile I made some comparisions:

Surprisingly for me was that the components where fitting pretty fine. Not a good sign I think because there must be another thing I am still worrying about, and I just don't know what it is. Hm.
Have to find out... I will upload a new composition next days.
thanks for your replys. I will correct the chin and the nose like you suggested.

Cool you're on track. Concentrate on longtitude proportions as well (ie. how far apart the edges of the mouth is compared to the nose). And don't forget to model from the sideview ... ;)

An update:

I moved the vertecs around and added a few new ones around the eyes.
Still not looking very female *sigh*

Well as you said it doesn't look like a woman but you're getting closer. The eyes seems a bit large!?
I think you need some references... find some front and side photos of women to guide you!
Keep trying :)

I think you may be relying too heavily on your reference picture, for a start it's in 2d, and if you're trying to copy it like for like you're going to come a cropper, turn on the tv and study womens faces on there, the cheek bones are far from right, they need lifting, and maybe pulling forward, if you feel your own you'll realise it's not all one lump, there's a sharpish ridge that runs from the ear to the front, which is more noticeable in a females face. Mouth area looks deflated also. Perhaps study a human skull first, it'll pay off in the end. Failing that then, rather than tweaking the model bit by bit, just dive in and make as many large changes in the space of a few minutes as possible, then see how it looks. I find that helps whenever I get stuck. Don't be afraid to start again.
You may also find it looks better when you have the eye area(s) all setup too.

I made several changes on the whole face yesterday and now I am quite content with the face and how it looks like:

another one showing the head from different angles:

As I said, I like the face now much more.
I am not very common to texturing - I simply sticked those textures on it with the little flat and UVmapping skills I have. The brows are quite strange currently... but I didn't have the time to make corrections on that.
Tell me: What do you think?

The shapes and the musculature of the face seem to be marked too much for a woman face but you really are on the good way.:thumbsup:
Well observe pictures of woman and looks at what differentiates them from the men.
http://www.fineart.sk is really a good site to make these comparisons.
Now go on I'm impatient to see the next pics ;)
