hey, overall the model looks really great and accurate, but there are some very obvious shading errors especially in the front and in some areas around the side windows

you should definitely go back and check the structure of your model in those areas

i guess i'm just telling you stuff you already know though ;)

great work so far! with a little bit of imagination the scene looks very promising too, looking forward to more updates

cool car ! are you using C4D ?? do you model poly by poly or box ? and is it piece by piece ? thanks

yeah im using Maxon (http://www.maxon.de) C4D R8.1 look at my sig

im using the method poly by poly and i startet with one big piece and one by one the will be cuted to pieces... Also i use Spline and Nurbs Modeling.

Beside i use a lot of plug-in who help me in poly based modeling because i think that c4d sometimes hangs behin all the others power packages but u see the quality and i really love that tool with that awsome workflow. It can only be stronger...

It looks great. The model is very promising, and I can only imagine how great it will look when it's fully textured. I'll keep my eye on this thread. Looking forward to your updates!
Good Luck!

Yeah this is a nice car. Model look is very good except (maybe only me not waked enough) but the front seem to be a little bit to big. Are you using any reference in picture?

Anyway very nice model and i should need a wireframe view of your mag, its looking great.

...using the method poly by poly and i startet with one big piece and one by one the will be cuted to pieces

i don't understand... you started with one piece then made the cuts and separated the pieces.. then you did poly by poly ?? how i mean if you have one piece, did you add to it poly by poly ? maybe if you have time you can post a quick explanation with pics
thanks

its hard to get detailed pictures and impossible blueprints. I think its a early wip and the finished form is far away. So every time i saw a line or point which position is not clear i moved it a bit. Sometimes when i take in hand to model a special part of the Objekt i saw those lines and points. That is the answer to the picture created with no blueprint. Its like a mason...

I mean that the front in perhaps above the frontlight is wrong. So that is what i need... ur appearance of the car in the first moments...

Man, if you've modeled this car with backdrops you're really great :)

say we and ur opinion comes true :)

so on for the Scene there some other great artists who are specialised in modeling Architecture buildings or Skinning. U also know how much work u need for those part of a city.

But no one here knows what kind of story i think out last month  So be happy with the cars i show and the rest is a mystery

Nice, allthough the model is not entirely correct..
For example take a look at the weldings near the hood. (2nd picture, from top) You can see that the line is not very straight. Take a look below. Maybe it helps.

But good work..

yes thx for ur tips but i have seen it before u post and in the latest render u would see that the bonnet is not the same than in the first rendering u use for the correction.

I can tell u why those curves be wrong. In C4D u dont have the value to join point between some objects or groups u can freeze a selektion or u can copy the geometry of a point to another but it costs to much time. I wait for an option to join poly mesh points between all my objects so that these rifts has the same clearance when i change one point of an Object at the rift beside the bonnet. So its like a funktion to fix a group of polys to another this would be a amazing feature.

So i hope that maxon read this Topic to to satisfy my wish :) But i think it would be only a mystery :(

I made some tests with the xpresso to group that point. It works! I can copy the position of a point to another everywhere in scene but the way to deside which point and object that is is a stong hard way. So now i need only the implementation of the script in the workflow with a plug-in or somethin else but for me its hopeless im a poor scripter especially for Plug-ins!!

that awsome compiler at www.leo.org is really nice

greeting for Germany
