I've never worked with a Bamboo, but I would suspect this would work the same as it does with other Wacom Tablets: Go into the control panel for the Wacom Properties. Click on the Eraser Tab - if there is one! - and make sure that it's function is set to Eraser. This control panel usually allows you to set Application-specific uses for the bottons on the pen, so you could set the eraser to do something else in just one application, too.
Anyhow, hope this helps... It should, or at leasst it would with my Intuos, and I'm hpoing it will be consistant for the Bamboo. Good luck!

Annoying little problem I'm having as well and hoping to get some help. I'm using inTuos and my cursor in PSD won't display fulls cursor size (adjustable circle pen tip) with my Mac and Wacom. Anyone know how to fix? Cursor Prefs in PSD doesn't help. I can tell the size of the cursor.
Thanks in Advance.

i'm just wondering why you've got BAMBOO on your tablet and i WACOM ^^ should be the same thing
Bamboo is just the name of a serie of tablets developed by Wacom. :)
