View Full Version : I need urgent help, my laptop screen is flickering...

and sometimes the OS crashes.

I have a HP Pavilion DV9000. Its video card is Geforce 7600 Go.

I have no idea what the problem is. I noticed it after playing Counter Strike Source and the game crashed.

Update:

Now, the whole laptop screen is blank. Its like the screen has no power. I restart the computer and still the same :hmm:

Sounds like you will have to contact HP service. My bet is on a defective connector/cable.

My colleague had the same issue with its dell laptop, we found out that it had an obstruction at the cooling level and burned out in 2 weeks of time, I had to replace it... Sicerely I hope its just the main cable...but in both cases give them a call quickly.

Hay guys

I am swimming in a lucky pool because the laptop has a year warranty from HP, it is going to expire on 10th of Jan 08. I gave them a call and they'll pick it up and fix it. Phewwww :bounce:

Now I am putting a insurance on it. These computers are unpredictable :D
