View Full Version : controling acceleration of all tracks at once?
moka.studio 12-27-2007, 10:44 PM I have setup a complex camera path.
I would now like to control the overall acceleration and deceleration at various points of the animation, for all the animated paramters at once.
I seem to remember you could group animated tracks together in earlier versions of c4d (7 or so).
What is the best way to do this in v.10?
Again, I want to keep the various keys relative to each other so to speak, and slow and speed the whole setup together
.
Thanks for any input,

Assigning everyting to the same time track should do it for ya.

hi sammer,
i never even realized 'time track' existed... i looked it up in the manual and though i think i understand every word i couldn't make it work.. maybe because of my poor english :( could you upload a little example or link to a tutorial about it? Or any other refernce would be much appreciated. it sounds like a really usefull thing. thanks.

You've probably created the time track but haven't assigned it. Click on the attribute in the timeline (e.g., click on the word 'Position'). Then in the AM you'll see a space where you drag your time track. The inline help illustrates this process, but it's worth calling out for attention because it's usually the step that people miss.

Timetracks are something exisiting from V9 you can assign one to various tracks or assign any trackcurve to drive another. time is only min-100 to 100% max Value it is even possible to create a ping pong without touching anything from complex animations

OK great, now i understand. i was dragging the position into the time track field in the attributes of the 'time' instead of the other way around...
