Hey all,

I'm running Max 5.1 on Win XP Pro with a ATI Radeon 7500. Can anyone tell me whether I should be using Direct 3D or Open GL and what settings are best in the prefs? Also if there are any special switches I should throw in the Vid card properties that would improve performance or quality?

I'd stick with openGL. For a lot of people it runs max faster and it's the overall standard. :cool:

OpenGL definitly even with the new directx 9.0a download I have found on my nvidia card that GL still runs faster. Now gfx cards are not my forte but I would believe that certain cards work better with different drivers. So just test your card and see which one runs better. That is the best thing I can say.
