Hello, it's me. Been a while.

Some of you might remember the male figure study I did a while back. Well, I rebuilt some of it yesterday and rigged it today (only skin weights: no blendshapes yet). I'm going to use it to practice some texturing and lighting (and if it comes out OK, I may even fire it off to Exposé, who knows...)

Anyway, here's a first shot to get a feel for the pose and lighting:

That's really cool, Sas - although the guys expression looks a little strained, in my opinion :)

I like it though

By the way, I love your new avatar :D

Thanks Leigh; will sort out the expression once I've rigged the head properly.

Here's another one, with adjusted colours and a bit of re-weighting around the chest:

great work on the muscle tone... though it looks a little strange by the collar bone... very nice though!

Hi Sasquatch:

This is looking brilliant! I've always been impressed by your human modelling skills and this one is certainly of a high standard. Great to see your work! :applause:

Well, back from holiday and had a bit of time to update some of the textures:

also played around with lighting colour again.

Hi there sasquatch!
Great human model+posing, looks natural:thumbsup: in some ways I prefer the "first pass at a[...]yet):" skin textures though. The spec color in the last images looks unnatural.
Keep it up !

Looking good. I only have 2 critiques. The pose of his hands seams a little unnatural to me, like they are not hanging limp, but he's holding them up a bit. His chest muscles are the other thing that bothers me. The look a little like empty skin with no meat inside. I think the definition in between and on the bottom is too sharp for the flat muscles. If he was that defined I think he'd have more muscle. The crease in the middle bothers me the most.

actually with the position he is sitting he would almost be flexing the chest muscles........if you look at the definition you have on him right now he should almost be having the tiger claw going on.
