wht should i do with the file that cant be imported????? both premiere pro or ae cant import. is there any way that i could conver the file format????

Delete your preferences and empty your media caches. Make sure to remove any potentially offensive "CoDec packs" (K-Lite, CCCP) and other garbage.

it is a movie file downloaded by realplayer. the file is embeded in a web page.

real format canot be supported u try to convert to qt or avi if without codec should be no problem

As hsk said, you cannot import them directly. You must find a way to convert them.

If they're actually realplayer files, I wouldn't know how though. To be honest I wouldn't want to work with anything even related to realplayer, so good luck to you...

canopous is the good program i use for it u can have a try.... or u can try the k-lite video convertsion park i think is free for that anyway good luck to u :)
