a little better interactivity in the uv unwrapper..it seems very competent..but its hard to tell how the polys are laid out when they are flat without the aid of some sort of edge or point selection to show me where on the unwrapped mesh it coressponds to..hard to tell which poly is facing where..

The UV tools in wings will probably be improved a lot before it hits version 1. In its current state its not usable imho. Cant wait to see it when its final though.

its called autouv, not uv editor ;) it will be better once it allows for full uv editing, until then, use it or not :)

i called it a uv unwrapper...any window that opens up an unwrapped version of the mesh is called a uv editor window..thats what its called in almost every program

I think thedaemon was alluding to the fact that there isn't a lot of interactivity / options when working with the UVs... You are pretty much at the mercy of the algorithm that unwraps things making it "auto"

tsuru, exactly :)

on a side note, Sheep Factory your avatar of the cat scares me. I am going to have nightmares.
