Created this over a few evenings, used a B&W photo for reference. I would like to add some graphic elements.. not too sure yet. I intend to fix the BKG, didn't see how messy it was on my monitor.
Looking for feedback on improvement and crits are always welcome.

Thanks,http://features-temp.cgsociety.org/gallerycrits/158114/158114_1198338204_large.jpg

I know this isn't what you are looking for, but...having grown up listening to his music, I like this one just the way it already is. It captures his sense of humor, too. About the curvature of the guitar's neck...he could take his music and wrap it around your heart, leaving you joyful, broken, in love or despair...so I think the curvature is appropriate.

Sorry, I know it didn't help, but that's how I feel.

Thanks for the comments colt51, I enjoy his music as well, I tried to incorporate some warped uneveness, glad that was picked up, I'm sure I could have pushed it some more though.

Thanks

Just one little thing that I noticed, it may be of some use to you:
Looking closely I notice that the thumb of Johnny's right hand is sort of... hidden. The first explanation i gave myself was that it was tucked under his palm, but even then, I figure that you should be able to see at least a small suggestion of the thumb. What made this stand out more for me was that the left thumb was so very prominently displayed.

That aside, I love the work stylistically, I agree with colt, it fits perfectly with the Cash's persona. It's a very recognizable picture too: I would know it's Johnny Cash without having seen the title. Nice work!
