Title: The Jetty
Name: Martin Hedenstroem
Country: Australia
Software: Carrara, Modo, Photoshop
Just a little jetty on a forgotten river somewhere.
The jetty and some plants were modeled and UV mapped in Modo, the trees were created with Carrara and so was the layout and render. Compositing and colour correction done in Photoshop.

Really good work. I really like that you uused Modo and Carrara for the rendering. The lighting and color is very well done. Keep it up.

At 1280x720px it took about 2.5 hours to render on a quad core MacPro. I'm not sure exactly though as I rendered the GI separately from the direct lighting and didn't really take note of the time involved.

Great!!! :bounce: 5 STARS
Wow nice photograph ! ;).
I think the grass on the front (those one in the water) are a bit to green... like.. computer green, but overall realy nice and realistic. 4 stars man !
If it wasn't for the extreme sharpening, I'd say it was a photograph. But the uber green grass kind of gives it away. Try to add a little blue overcast to enhance realism.
Otherwise, awesome job!!!

Wonderful composition. I love how the path disappears into the darker shades of the forest.
