I've been working on this for wuite some time now cause it's my first car ever. :hmm:

and I use it as a test subject for materials and lighting.
:shrug: so tell me what u think so far

car frame-something model is almost done now on 2 the wheels and windows and stuff

it's going in the right direction I think

Maybe a bit broad on the specular? Proportions / model is looking great.

i really like teh texture for the car. but it looks like its made of stainless steal, and not painted silver. i am actually looking for a stainless steal texture and what i see on your car comes pretty close. so what did you do to make the texture.

i would turn the specular down on the texture that may help a bit.

over all the model looks really good. for your first car model im pretty impressed.

keep up posted on your progress. what modeling technique are you using?

For some reason, this rendering reminds me of Porsche in Need for speed 6 :p

here a little update

I tweaked the material a bit,
but I like the first one better
so I'll tweak it some more :)

I used sub-d modeling
and the material is just a simple falloff and a gloss on the reflection
and a shellac for the highlight
