Hey guys :)
I've been browsing this forum for a while and after perusing the sketchbook threads of a few members (with which I was incredibly impressed might I add!) I thought it'd be a good idea for me to create my own to monitor my own progress.
A little bit about my background, well, I've been drawing ever since I can remember really, all the way through school in my jotters, and through my last year of uni in my notebooks during lectures cause I chose completely the wrong course! It's only recently I've decided I want to take art/design seriously though, and am now enrolling in an Interactive Media Design honours degree at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art here in Dundee, Scotland. My main goal is to improve my drawing/painting skills to allow me to develop my audio/visual project, Zealous Veil to its fullest ( http://www.myspace.com/zealousveil (http://) )
I am sure I will make a lot of progress by making use of this forum. It really seems like a great resource!
Well, to get things started, here's my first contribution to this thread; a study of the skull (with particular attention to Value) following a tutorial I found right on these very boards!
