Did this last night in about four hours for an apple-themed thread over at Sijun.

The tree proved to be a real compositional hassle. Oh well. At least I'm painting again.

Thanks lapin. It's not really meant to make any kind of religious statement, it's just the first thing I thought of when trying to come up with a painting involving apples.

I intentially didn't include the serpent that's part of the Christian creation story.

It looks good and the composition works well. However, the crackle effect dosn't really add much. Usually people get paid to attempt to restore paintings that are damaged like that.

only beef i have is that she looks as if shes about to fall over

perhaps her weight needs to be better distributed?

And the girl look like more real than all the perfect model i see on this forum !

Looks great, nice composition and colours, but the lighting on the leg is a little funny, makes the leg look a bit lumpy. Other than that, very nice.

Lapin, I don't know see why an overweight girl is more real though, just a different girl.
