I'm new to Maya 4.5, and I've got my first problems with materials.
How can I make a blurred trasparent shade like the stopper's jar in the attached image?

I'm an XSI user and with XSI I can make it, but in Maya I can't find some blur option for the trasparency property.

PS. The green boxes are to hide the mark.
