nice.

i dont know anything on the technical side, im going purely by looks.

the initial explosion with the debry flying off is cool, but the fire and the black background in the window doesnt look authentic. I think you need to add some extra detail there.

:thumbsup:

Is this a plugin explosion effect like Afterburn or ultrashock? Right now the explosions don't appeat to 'come out' of the window. If its not a composited effect, then I think you need more particles and alot more noise in the explosion effect. The ramp color works good tho.

hmm... the explosions theirselve are beautiful and so is the house, but I agree that they don't blow off your screen. It looks like some tnt explodes in front of the window, not inside the building.

Also I think they are a little too fast gone, especially when they are over their climax. Yeah, I think that's the problem.

Maybe I've seen too much movies with explosions which blow away the whole building :)

Looking cool, I dig the interactive lighting a lot, but I agree the explosions seem to be happening in front of the windows, not through them..need to push through and then billow out and expand, then roll upwards into themselves. Watch some movies where they do the effect practically with gasoline cannons for reference. Also a bigger problem I think is when they reach full size and dissipate, they seem too much made up of spheres..looks more like an anime explosion.

Only other crits I can think of are the camera shake is way too uniform, each one feels exactly the same. Might be good to change up the pattern of the blasts just slightly also, so that it's more like 1, 2-3, or 1-2, 3 instead of 1, 2, 3. If that makes any sense.

The smoke looks nice though it seems very black, and not getting a sense of thickness to it. If it's dense enough to dim the flames inside that much, it would be completely covering the upper part of the house.

Anyway hope that's helpful, didn't mean to write so much, but I do love things blowin' up. :D

Looks really nice....but...the flames need to be more noisy. and less rounded, they also need to be more turbulant...the seem to appear quick but the actual flame movement is very slow. they need to be more "active"

And also when the flames disappear it looks like you have just turned down the opacity of them because they all disappear at the same time, its should be a little uneven. Flames dont just get to a certain size then completely disappear. If you play the last move back slowely you will see what i mean.

<EDIT>
Here is a movie my friend made, as you can see the flame is very harsh and savage but it look really good. I suggest playing it slowely so that you can see the flame full (just drag the time slider by hand)
