seb4d 04-22-2003, 11:13 AM Hi,
here is an old stuff I started modeling last summer but I had to stop it because of lack of time.
But now I resumed working on it.

The eyes are actually accurate to the subject. The Violator is one of the creatures from the movie Spawn. (Spawn.com).
Looks great ! Can't wait to see this progress :)

Thanks for feedbacks guys !
I use XSI.
I actually use for reference the McFarlane Toy I bought. So some parts of the body seem a little exaggerated, but it is close to the toy. but you're wright I may adjust it to look more real.
Here are some pics :

This is coming along good so far. One thing I'd say that all of the looks for him have in common, that you definitely need to work in, is sharpness. The teeth and horns come to very sharp points and have razor edges, I think all of those being 'soft' right now is adding to a cartoony look. The second from the top with the elongated scythe-edge horns could be wicked.
I think it'd be cool if you went for one of the more pushed/exaggerated versions, though one of the things I liked about the ILM version (besides the awesome transformation) was that they altered the design JUST enough to make him more believable/viable. (Not that it outbalanced the rest of the movie from being awful, but that's a whole other discussion, damn shame.)
That's the only thing that's always bugged me about the original character design (esp. the mouth) though, it went past the point of suspension of disbelief and into being silly.
Anyway, look forward to seeing more HIDEOUSNESS on this guy
