Title: Barbarian Orc Type Thing
Name: James Paick
Country: USA
Software: Photoshop
Here is a new one for me. Finally a character piece. It has been quite some time, perhaps years, since my last character attempt. It is still lose and fast, not too tight but thats how I like my 'finishes' to look. It started off as a sketch that can be viewed on my blog entry at http://scribblejames.blogspot.com/
It was an experimental piece to get my brain and art juices flowing, play around with genre and play with some light and colors. Would love to know what you guys think out there =)

hey guys,
thanks for the great and encouraging comments! I will try to do more character work more often. Anyhow, this was not meant to be a finished type illustration. Since this is a more personal piece of art, I love painterly strokes, really lose areas and some areas that are tight. I really like the way some art paintings look that have the appearance of being unfinished, but have other areas that are more refined. Perhaps that technique needs more development. But anyhow, thanks again CGS!
More work to come,
James

Really nice work! Love the painterly sketchiness you're using here. Nice strong silhouette, too - good work!
