Hello, I am new to the forum, very nice here.
I got the following Question:
Is there any hint/link/tutorial on how to create eyelashes for a female character? I mean, without using hairplugins or other plugins except rudimentary things like "cutter".

I tried to make a copy of the eylid (where the lashes hair is coming out in reality) and extrude that part. I donīt think that is the riught way, cuz I had to work long and it didnīt look good. There must be another workaround. any Ideaīs?
Thanks in advance!

try making a shape that looks like a profile of eyelashes, something a little like this ( this is very rough )

and then make a texture to use in the alpha channel of the eyelash material
something like this, ( also very rough, and probably the wrong shape but you get the idea ) poser models do it this way and most of the time it looks reasonable

Cool, thanks!
Yeah, I just worked out to make hairpieces out of planes in HNURBS with a shader that looks like hair by myself. I can use that alterated for eyelashes, too.

just draw a pic of them in something like photoshop and then put them in a plane that looks something like an eyelash and then use the alpha channel with your picture. it should word pretty well.
