Hi All,

i made a small first demovideo of our renderengine VRAYforC4D to show how nice and fast it renders (for those who doesnt know yet;-)

i have a bit of a cold so my voice is a bit rough today, and also sorry for the dog barking in the background, there was a tiny but very load dog outside my office (its not mine)...

you need the flashplayer to see it, hope you like it and i wish nice holidays to all cinema4d users out there!

Very impressive.
What hardware do you have to enable those 45 second render times?

I think the dog was singing the praises of vray ..... toss him a bone :)

I had my problems at understanding your english, your interface looked alien to me and the dog kept barking. Other than that great job :)

Thanks Ilab.

Now I have added another New Year's resolution in addition to really learning Vray--GET AN 8-CORE MAC!

Everything looks stunning, as usual.

Great video. BTW, hearing dogs and kids in the background makes it sound just like my house. Great stuff.

I liked that you were rockin' Eve's song "Tamborine" in the BG.

You know, I didn't even notice an accent while watching it. Seeing 8 buckets zooming around is very cool, but I have to say, even with an older dual-core, if Vray isn't fast, something's wrong with the setup.

Really nice demo video, Stefan!

Nicely done video there, thank you for taking the time to produce it.

What I'd really love though would be some of those setup you've used, they looked amazing, although the exterior city scene would grind my Dual Core Dell to a complete halt.

Do you plan on producing any more video's may I suggest an interior lighting setup, as studio and exterior was touched upon.

Plus i've been experiementing with an exterior lit scene, hdri lighting still has me slightly puzzled though lol.

Thank again though, nicely done.

Kind Regards

yes this is the first "testvideo" from a series of vray learning videos that will be free for all vray users:-)

If you want my advice try to follow the 3dfluff example:

1) default layout of C4D and default interface, to avoid alienating those who are not expert

2) good sound quality

3) high resolution

thanks thirdeye for your advice,

but i think it does okfor what i wanted it;-)

also the layout is almost the same as the standard c4d, it is a colorscheme by janine, many i know like this one. i think it doesnt alieanate c4d at all.

high resoltution brings too big download sizes, i as a user i hated that and also donnot want to make this download monsters for our users. the fluff stuff is on dvd and several gb big.

the sound i will try to make "dog free" of course, but i am doing this in my office and i am no sound studio.

nice christmas holidays,
cheers

Oh man! there's a blast from the past, the Joy Of Painting with Bob Ross, he was an old hippy who was facinated with nature and the world around him and loved painting it, and he had massive afro styled hair, he's sadly passed away in the later 90's I think.

I used to love watching that Joy Of Painting on the discovery channel and 9am every morning his was a really great artist.

Some times he'd have a squirrel on his shoulder or a badger he'd found in his back yard lol

Blimey it's been a while since i've seen those shows :)
