Remove highlight

Numerous techniques, depending on how bright or intense the highlight is... you can try the plain old rubber stamp tool, the healing brush tool, editing the image in LAB colour mode, playing around with the Shadows/Highlights tool... it really depends. Just use whatever works best for your particular image.

I agree with doing this in Lab mode, there are some nice tricks with channels/curves that can help with this. There is a great book on Lab that I highly recomend::
