I have started to work on a new piece for my reel. It is currently in blocking stage. Please let me know if there are issue with the key poses and also can you give me ideas on how to push them.

Nice job blocking out so far

So let's jump right into it...

FR 73 - Ninja uses right leg to jump
FR 79 - Ninja uses right leg to kick other ninja over (what? how is that possible?)

I tried doing that myself...no way man. I mean even if you could, do you really think it would be effective enough to knock the other guy over? Moreover, believable. I'd jump with the right and follow through with a kick from the left leg.

Can it be done your way...yes. I mean hell, it's ninja right? So he must of have the power (grin)...ok. But guess what...he is kicking another ninja

Give your characters some credibility.

Update.

Worked on the main Ninja. The Keys are still linear, but do point out issues of timing.

I guess that jump animation can be a few more fast!!
Mainly the part when the ninja stop in the air!!
Looking good!! Keep it up!!

Nice going so far!
The overall posing on the punches is what works best right now.

I suggest you keep your animation in steps. There is alot of sliding here that shouldn't be happening.

Also, be careful with the path of the pelvis during the jump. Looks to me like hes doing a bit of chinese-style string dangling to me =P

Lastly, l'll say the final stance of the jumping ninja could use a little style.. perhaps even show some pride?

That's all for now,
Keep it up!

I would take a look at the backflip again. The curve of the hips doesn't look quite right.
Other than that, I think it looks really nice. The boxing in the beginning is awesome :)

I'd jump with the right and follow through with a kick from the left leg. I'd have to watch it to be completely sure (no .mov at work), but there are plenty of martial arts kicks where what you have described here is not only possibly but absolutely necessary for the kick to be effective. Again, I'll have to watch it to see if what he did in the clip is possible, but what you've described here is completely possible. The momentum (sp?), or power or whatever you watn to call it, is derived from the pendulum (sp?) motion of the other leg.
