Title: The Motel
Name: Tyler Wanlass
Country: United States
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop

This is a real-time environment I created with completely original artwork using the Unreal 3 Engine, 3ds Max and Photoshop. All post processing was done in engine w/ no photoshop touch up.

I think this looks fantastic! Perfect amounts of creepiness, visual tension, and stylization. What I like about scenes like this is that the are right on the edge of reality when it comes to the human expeireince, you you can really suspend belief in a scene like this and do some really imaginative storytelling (whether it is a gameplay expeirience or animated expeirience) because it is close to real life, but you know something wildly disturbing can happen.

Good Job!

I really like this! it came out quite nice. There are a couple things that might make it even better though. here are some ideas. In the neon part of the sign it would be cool too see a little more bloom coming from the lights also, perhaps making the neon that obnoxitious pink color that seems to be more common. It looks like there are little breaks in the clouds in the sky, maybe adding a couple stars popping through the cloud cover. I noticed that the door knob on the doors switches sides every other one. that's a nice touch but i'm not sure if it would be like that in this instance given the reletive distance between the door to the room. perhaps if the doors where right next to each other?

those are just some ideas. Again it's looking really good keep up the good work dude.
