This is one of my favorites.
I remember seeing pictures of these guys in books. I love the bird-bill head-dresses and the pipes they smoke. It started with a full-body paper sketch, but when I started to paint it digitally, I didn't like the body proportions much, so I cropped it to this. You can't quite make out that he's holding a bow (yes, he's holding a bow), but I think the composition works out better.
The image was colored in photoshop, then painted in with Painter. This was my second attempt at a finished painting using Painter.
