Wow, that just boggles the mind really.
Amazing.!

I'm no pro, but my crit would be
that the deformations in the coat
he's wearing almost trick me into
thinking that it's supposed to be
super windy out.

Not sure it that was what you were
going after?

If not i think the wrinkling in the coat
needs to conform more to his upper
body.

Otherwise stunning in my opinion.!

I dont understand the why theres a lack of responses on this, I really like it. Maybe it could use some stuff going on in the background, explosions, or beach landings, but its still great

Reminds me of my old GI Joe dolls... the real ones, not those crappy things that came out with the cartoons. Thanks for the memories. It's coming along nicely. Very nicely.

If it's not the final version, though, please put this in the Work In Progress section.

Wonderful! I really love his pose!! :buttrock:
If I should say something constructive, maybe make some crates from the bullets hitting the sand with dark wet sand in it and some streaks from a bullet or two flying by.
Now it sorta looks like the two are a couple days early and the beach is empty.

Wow! The soldiers look very good!

I don't like the ... sand? It's looks like it was created in 3d

Looking very good.

Fine details and modelling on the soldiers.

Great work! The image really has a "war" feel. You could call it, an amount of "war horror"

that stuff is da shit man, really great!!!

one thing, only thing

the blood on the jacket looks kinda "cloudy". What i mean is that it has very blurry edges, should be a bit sharper imo

other than that, GREAT work, 5 stars from me

PS. hes exactly like that "Jackson" dude (the sniper) from Saving Private Ryan

He mentioned in his WIP thread that the model is based on Jackson from Saving Private Ryan.

I think this has turned out really well-great modelling; he still looks as if the body he is a dragging is not that heavy but overall it's a very atmospheric piece.

I really like the set he placed this model. To me it appears as if this is a diorama in a natural history museum. The background ocean looks as if it is a painted background. Everything about the image looks very staged. I would actually remove the blood from the soldier he is dragging.
I realize this is probably not your intended goal but I think there is a certain amount of charm in its museum-ishness(you get what I mean).
BTW the Barry Pepper model is very nicely done. =-)

It looks good with nice composition. The rifle sling is clipping through the sand. More work could also be done on the clothing, both on the main character and the person being dragged. The cloth pull effect kinda looks like you just grabbed some verts and streched without retaining the shape.

Those are just some minor problems in an overall good piece.

I am so glad that u like this stuff.
mage111: I plan to add more detail and more dity things, and more body(:P),but I should wait until next month.because my computer can not take this scenes anymore.I will use a more powerful computer of my friend next month. In fact I am now using a laptop which i brought in last year.

stephen2002 :yea, seems some problem on the clothing of the dead body,I will consider to improve this in next version(If have). In fact I only spend 2 hour on this guy,I always lose patience after i finish the main character.:D

bonko: I think he may get some blood on hands if he is trying to move and drag a dead body.

This is the model:

Hey that's even cooler. I like seeing the "behind the scenes" stuff in your image. Very neat.
