View Full Version : Color_sampler trouble

Is the Color_sampler the buggiest feature of XSI, or is it user error again? Everytime I try to use the color_sampler something fails. Last time (6.01?) there was this undocumented "feature" where you had to plug in some kind of texture (even if you DIDN'T want a texture) to the illumination node or it wouldn't work. Now in 6.02 and 6.5 that problem seems to be fixed, but now the color_sampler won't render out the whole texture for some of my models. I render the lightmap, but somewhat random parts of the model just wont render. Rendermap works fine, but I really wanna use the colorsampler instead. So, is there some known issues that could cause this? I have 2gb ram, think that should be enough to render a 256x256 texture of a 200k triangle model. Same thing on 6.5 and 6.02 Foundation. Tried redoing it in a new scene, and to redo the UV map.
