Haven't seen anything about this movie here on cgtalk yet and search brought up nothing.

here is the link to the site with a trailer, imagery, etc.
looks very nice. some of the characters are a bit too simplified for my taste but still very nice stuff.

the big character in the still looks like a 70 percent copy of the big clumzy and friendly "chien po" of troup in the comic movie "mulan"

this looks great. it is refreshing to see features of such high quality come from a place other than hollywood.

Yeah that does look like fun, Thanks for the post Martin. I would like to watch it again without streamimg it again, has someone got a direct link.

The humour was fresh, and I like the charcters, would be interesting to hear more about this and the 2D project mentioned, was that called Dragon Chasers as well.

Aye was as an TV series (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_Hunters). Not really that great though, plotwise (personal opinion).

Actually ... it looks like the lipsync is done on the English version and they just dubbed the French text over it.

The reason is probably that the French will notice less then the English, since they are so used to see movies from around the world with French dubbing.

The characters are great, very good style, some sets need more realism for me, and its nice with the french languaje, I like that.

Very good!

yeah. i noticed that soon after showing the eng trailer to my brother. the english trailer looked like the lips were synched way too well for it to be animated to the french version.

actually Here in France you have the choice of watching movies in original versions with french subtitles or with French dubbing so it isn't the reason
I personally don't think I ever saw a foreign movie with french dubbing in theater, I hate that

As Chritter mentioned it is just a matter of market as there are far more english speaking people in the world, makes sense.
its been done the same way for Renaissance (previous french CG feature)
