I've done a small animation with a fire, growing along a path. Now, I've tried several approaches to emitt some smoke into the scene, depending on the age of a particle. Even an Age Test Operator seemed not to do the trick as I expected.

Here's the short animatic of the fire:

This is my particle flow so far...

Does anyone have an idea or any suggestions on how to achieve this?

You can use the Particle Age Material from the material editor to make the particles emit fire when they start and slowly become smoke as they die out for which you have to add the delete operator in the PFlow.....

Hum - well, I thought splitting the event up into two parts would be the easier way. But every operator messes my solution up quite a bit. :D
Seems, as if a rebuild of my fire shader would be the easiest way. Thanks for the hint. Gonna try this.
