hey there

i have a question that might be simple - i hope so.

if i have a group of key frames - how do i select all of them and nudge their values all together ?

i know i can select them by the region tool but i need to adjust them all together but hopefully without moving them all in the Y direction by using the mouse as that is not 100% acurate for very fine tweaks.

cheers

pedro

Or you may be looking for something like selecting the multiple keys or f-curves and holding down the shift key to only move them horizontally. You've upgraded to 10.5 haven't you? If so you can also select and use the left and right arrows.

Have fun.

hey there

that will nudge key frames down the timeline - but will not adjust their actual value.

for example imagine that i need to adjust a one armed bandit wheel to a different starting position ( this will be a rotation value ) but want to keep all the start + stop animations i have already done.

so a need to select a group of key frames and move all of them up the timeline so that the first keyframe of the roll sequence will be 245.52 degrees instead of 122.16

Howdy,

Have you tried doing that in the F-Curves by selecting the keys and moving them vertically?

Adios,

hey dan

yup i have been doing that but i was looking for a way to perhaps do it without using the mouse - what i am asking is something that c4d cant really do and is difficult to describe. its a pretty dumb question too.

if i zoom into the fcurve manager super close i can get pretty good accuracy to what i want

a solution that does not exist in c4d might be something like, if i could put a bookmark on a certain value on the vertical direction in the fcurve manager, then enable snapping ( or use shift key ), then move all the keys up using the mouse would do it.

dream on pedro

If you know the exact offset you want to begin with then select the keys, in the AM for the key value type in the Key Value box as a formula, e.g. you want them to go up by 2 you do "x+2", now all the keys move up by 2, same as in all other numerical entry boxes in Cinema.

Right Per is as usual. It's the 'x' that makes the difference... I'm sure I'm not the only one that has tried only the +2 part.

Hi, back at ya Senior Pedro!

The shift modifier also works for draging keys vertically btw, with it held down it locks on to whatever direction you move in first.
