Hey there... can some people lay some knowledge on me when it comes to motherboards...
I been researching a new system for about 2-3 months now and decided to go with
Core 2 Quad 2.44
8600GT sli - maybe 8800.
4GB of DDR2
running on windows XP, using Maya 7. No plans to upgrade to vista or anything above maya 7... not any time soon.
will have two 22" monitors... or one 24"
right now wondering what motherboard to get.
What do you guys think about this one?

Also, I haven’t made up my mind about CPU. I do about %70 modeling and %30 rendering right now. should I stick to Quad and just over clock it or go with Duo? What will make more difference when handling scenes over a million polygons…?
