Moin

My problem is this ****ing fathom :-))
http://www.powerflasher.de/temp/faden.gif

my model is now 2 twistet NurbsTubes.
And they have to look exactly like the image ( I am working on it)

I want to animate this fathom a long a path.
And this path has one very short curve where the fathom
can't look to flat.
How can i do that? with bones or is there a simple trick
by using the history?

thanks swag

i does found this way at the morning :-)

But there is a little but for me big problem in this Function.
Make a U-Turn and you see that the path gets a torsion.
So U-Turn is the Point where me Close Up is :-(

Flowpath?
Is that a MelScript?...
Is that some kind of control cage?

u can do this u-turn section by hand - make a skeleton and animate the twine key by key and blend it in ur composite

Animate > Motion Paths > Flow Path Object (adjust the lattice created around the object to smooth out the effect)

be forewarned that the object needs to be attached to a motion path first in order for this command to work.

Hmmm.. in english I would imagine that would be the word thread ..fathom means something completely different.

Fathom
To penetrate to the meaning or nature of; comprehend.
To determine the depth of; sound.
