View Full Version : power ball throw and explosion

Hey guys, I need to create an energy ball(kind of like the one in Dragon Ball but realistic) the ball will expands and expands and then, it's been thrown and hits a wall creating an explosion with with a shock wave ring.

I will be creating the explosion with Particle flow and After burn, so that's not a problem but the Energy ball and the shock wave are the ones that I am having a problem figuring out.

Any ideas,

if box3 is available go this way:

if not create a shere and another bigger sphere around it with an animated fractal noise modifier. shade this bigger sphere for your purposes or lock shaded particles to it with position object "lock on emitter" checked....just a quick idea...

for the shock wave use a parray with the preset shockwave ;)
or pflow with loooots of particles with an icon set to cirlce and emit particles random horizontal and set the position icon to "edge"...same here...quick ideas not tested.

maybe charley can explain how to use the displacement on animated/moving objects...
