"Thanks to Magma and Thomas for the kickass meshes, and Viper for the backdrop!!"
Well what have YOU done?
To give some curtecy crit:
Like the structure. VERY homeworld! But its very boxy. Ad more modeling details.
What is the structure? It´s unclear if it´s a jupgate or a station or... let us see more of it.
The lighting dosn´t match up with the background... give the station/jumpgate/other some lights of its own.
Other than that... keep it up!

well, when oyu ask what I've done, keep in mind that I'm still in the learning process, and don't have the time/patience for modelling right now, what with school and all.:)
But I did, um....move things around in the scene....:D:D

Well... as long you want to do more than last time every time you start something you are on the right track!
/keep evolving.

oh yeah! Evolution rocks! I just don't have the time/energy to put into learning things. I'll probably get around to learning some more things come summer vacation.....ILW7 is just waiting for me to open it and start reading....

I think its interesting. Although you say yuo dont have the time to do more in the field of creation other than composition, your still making time to practice using software. I say practice makes perfect. Without a doubt I learn everytime I crash an app. :)
Seriously... when you dont involve yourself in the work you become very 'unskilled' fast. I must say that I have been out of the loop for 3-4 years and already I feel like a n00b at 3D again. Jeez... last time was Max1 ... now we are up to Max4.2 so I better get off my can and get on a workstation and start kickin out some polys.
As for your work Valkyrien, just make sure you learn at least ONE new thing everytime you do something, that way your making progress. When I first started '3D work' I was in school downloading other people's meshes and playing around with them... I even got a great Star Trek ship mesh and recreated the 'go-to-warp' effect. I didnt learn anything modeling but I learned how to use the renderer and add effects.
Keep at it man. We want some more stuff. I mean it. Dont make me come over there!!! :p

Well, this didn't take too long to make, and it was my first scene in months...rendering is getting less challenging and less time-consuming as time goes on, but modelling...I wouldn't know where to begin! So When i have some real time on my hands, I'll dust off ILW7 and start pouring through the pages......
but I'll try to do something else by the end of the week, SIR! :p
Thanks for the encouragement! :)
