View Full Version : A question regarding "Save For Web"

Hey everyone!

I have 300 images in 50 different folders and I'd like to reduce their file sizes.
Thing is, if I use Save for Web I'm having problems, because that function not only reduces the file size, but it also defines a new location to save the picture in.
Therefor I thought about maybe reducing the file size some other way.
Is there a way to reduce the file size other than using "Save as" and choosing a lower quality or using Save For Web?

I posted this in 3 forums and got no replies, so help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I'd like to keep my image the same size though; Does that mean I need to reduce the resolution from 72 to something else?
Or do you mean clicking "Auto..." inside the Image Size menu and selecting Quality:Good?

I tried setting the quality to "Good" the way I wrote above and it actually upped the resolution.. Are there maybe other ways?

Edit: Problem solved. Click here (http://www.photoshoptechniques.com/forum/showthread.php?p=207202&posted=1#post207202) for the solution.
