The alien was modeled in zbrush and was the taken into cinema 4d for rendering.
The "engine" at the top was made in c4d and was also rendered.
Then all the elements were compiled in photoshop and light adjusted.
I just had this image in my head one day and just had to put it down. I like the idea of an alien being with some kind of magical power.
