Very impresive .
It could use some translucency, though.

umm, i think you've pretty much got the whole lighting thing down!:buttrock:
i love the idea. it would rock so much if he looked more evil cos he looks a little too human maybe. but thats just me. awsome textureing!

really nice. I thought it was a killer texture map from the first pic and the second one really threw me for a loop. Is it going to be animated comming out of the wall?

I really like this cause it´s so much like painting and it also has a great amouth of tension...that´s great!

first thing i though was that it reminded me of Legend and tim curry (i think its the chin that did that)...looks great though...maybe just a tad too harsh at the top left...bleachin out some of the image...:bounce: ..

Very nice work Strike. Give him some more of an elastic transparent skin that appears to streatch through the wall.
I like the "Imagination" you have, nice idea. I like the crusted look in the texture, another nice touch. Keep cranking them out Strike, looking very good.

Hey thanks all ! :)
SpacePenguin : Well, next time i'll try something more transparent ! :) thx
ninjacore : yea, i just wanted him to be kinda human, not definitly a monster to make think that probably some humans are demons ;)
BatmanFx : no animation, i don't think... It's just an art image, but.. hmmm... now you tell it... :)
Killerj : well thank alot, my goal is reached then ! :)
Tikisan : Yea ! Legend demon was really great with his horns, unconscious thought however ! thanx !
Virtuoso : meet again ! ;) Thanks i'll try next time to follow your advices ! :) thanks friend !

wow, very nice work again strike! if I would throw away one crit/suggestion to you. it would be to make the teeth(atleast the 2 in the front) sharper, they look to soft now.
nonetheless, excellent work!
hehe wow, so creepy! :applause:
Ahh, as someone mentioned, it brings back memories of Doom.... ;)

JPGargoyle : not enough ugly for a demon i think ;)
DAREONER : j'ai un peu chié les yeux j'avoue :) mais je voulais un regard vide, cela dit je peux améliorer
Plop : 5 ! gosh ! you're my fan ???!!! lol
fellah : Thanks my friend ! Happy you like this one ! As i already told you, i think your work is amazing, and i need to train again to find all the quality you have in your images.
ceql : thx ! Doom forever !!!!!
BladeFX : Right about the scar. I just wanted it to look like a painting so that's why it's not so bump.
Maximus Groff : Man, the day i'll work on animation, i'm sure to animate this one ! thx alot !!! :)
jacktan : cool ! i'll post wireframe soon
Wi_2 : thanks ! i didn't expect to receive so much of it !
JHN : disturbing ? yea, surely coz it's a demon ;)

Incredible. I love it :buttrock:
I think they both are equally great, actually. Great modelling, texturing and lighting. I dig his "blind" eyes.
The teeth are a tad white, maybe...
Sincerely,

very nice work!!!
How did you model this?
Gregwid
04-22-2003, 08:47 PM
Very nice look. I think you should show him sticking out of the wall better by zooming out and showing more of the wall. This wayyou can see a character coming out of the wall.Other wise it looks like he is the wall.Unless you wanted this?
But I think the lighting and textures are very nice.Plus the modeling too is very good.

cool..
reminds be of this:
http://www.impawards.com/1996/frighteners_ver1.html
i think the chin jutting out so much gives teh impression teh face is about to emerge from the wall..
i mean since the chin is already out, it seems logical the top of the head will follow... and then neck sholders etc
i think if you want to keep it as a wall monster.. perhaps you should pull the chin in a little???

Wow:eek:
I really love images like this one STRIKE.
Not sure if the skin wall idea would be as bad as
mabey, the idea of his skin been pulled off from around his head and the thought of what it looks like underneath.
It definately would benifit from some translucency.
any chance Fellah could part with some knowledge on this one?
his ear guy rocks in the translucency dept

.:STRIKE:.
common man, you gotta give us a break... all this kickass work can be discouraging to a n00b like me *sniffle* and its hard sometimes... *cries*
*stops crying abruptly* however, you can make up for it by making us all a nice tutorial on modeling, lighting, texturing... EVERYTHING!! :D
Cheers,

very nice,
without a doubt one of the coolest ideas I have seen. Any chance of making a bunch of faces coming out of the skin, Freddy Krueger style? :buttrock: that would rock

wow thats fricking spooky!!
Nice looking.
How did you get the skin so 'dry' looking?
greetz Willem
Somehow ive always liked the "thing coming out the wall" idea, so this one is top nothc for me already. Like everyone said, the lighting, the simple yet effective texture...awesome!

Thanks again to all of you for your feedbacks ! :)
Sure there's alot of things to be better, but i think i stop it for this one :)
Anyway, if you know me, you imagine i'm already working on another image, so i hope all the failure of this one, will be cleared ! :)
I'm sorry i can't answer each of you, but i really appreciate your comments ! :) About the Taron inspiration, i admit he's really a great artist and more than inspirational for me ! :) Great designs he has :)
About the dry looking, in fact there's alot of lights effects doing it, even if the surface is i think not so good set, lights do alot of things in this scene.
About modeling : i did it poly by poly, like a normal head modeling, but except i didn't make the skull but continue creating polys around the face. It's a kinda really UV mapping looks like in fact. Like if i directly model my UV else than a head. But, well... not exactly the same however because of the relief of the face.
Thanks again all !!! :wavey:
