:buttrock: I finished this about 3 weeks ago.... 16000 polys I think, Modeled in 3DS max 4.... It took me forever to texture... the modeling wasn't so bad. Any C&C?http://www.landofkoz.com/storage/room1half.jpg http://www.landofkoz.com/storage/room.jpg

I think the textures look pretty good.
The one problem I have is the event in the middle top, I guess it is the ceiling, but it looks almost like something that is hanging down in the middle of the room. I think that with a little more lighting you could help it, though.

Allright I´ll give you a broadside of constructive crit.
1) The roof "window"... its opace (non transparant). I think it would be better if you saw a sky of some sort. OR if there isn´t a window but just a hole, maybe some plants would hang down through. (artistic decoration)
2) The pillars, they all have the same texture and shape, not good. At least give them diffrent textures. In fact the whole room is mirrored. After you have mirrored the geometry, tweek some details to fix this. Best done with textures since you shuld only do this on a detail level, like cracks and stuff. (the floor is OK but the roof and walls is clearly mirrored)
3) If it´s an ancient room... why is there no sand on the path? Is it still in use? If not, add some decay with cobwebs or broken jars in a corner or something, give the room some history.
One cool thing would be some (hyper)modern arciological equipment!!
4) Place a person in there doing something. (Indiana Jones perhaps to remove the shield-thingy?) A ghost from the inhabitants when the room was in use?
Other than this I think it looks pretty good! If I´m too harsh I´m sorry! I just want to be a nice guy!
Keep it up!

No not harsh at all... thanks for the crits! I'm still in school so it's all a learning process anyway. It might be hard to go back and tweak the piece, as I get new assignments all the time, but I'll try to apply those crits to my new pieces..where applicaple:D
