Hi,

I am interested in learning modeling to create cnc bas reliefs. Would a nurb or poly modeling application be better? I would need to model using a background image and am interested in scenery which includes wildlife.

I tried Zbrush and it's projection master but couldn't get the detail I am looking for. I am also looking at Blender, Hexagon, and Silo.

Thanks for your time and feedback.

I don't think it's possible/legal to say the words "not enough detail" and "ZBrush" in the same sentence... ;)

If the google image result came back with what you're after, then I think it doesn't matter much. Zbrush would def help though.

If you can't get the detail you require in Zbrush.................well,i'm afraid you won't find it anywhere.Unless i'm unaware of an app that breaks polys down at the sub-atomic level:).

Seriously.Stick with Zbrush. It's absolutely incredible once you ascend the modest learning curve.

Thanks everyone. I think the problem with Z is I am not dividing my plane enough so the resolution is not there when using projection master and an alpha image
