Hey all,

Now that I've finished up my semester at Seneca, I've got some time to work on an old project I started quite a while ago. Here's the latest render of it:

Unfortunately it takes a long time to render (this frame took about 6 hours) so I can't post a higher res version.

Any crits and comments would be greatly appreciated. I'd like to finish modelling this scene within the next week or so, cause I'm going to need a couple days to render it for print. :|

It doesn't seem like you have much modeling left. I like it the way it is. I can stare it all day and picture myself there. (Me likes nature scenes) :)

Is the grass and foliage done in Max? Maybe you can photoshop the rest of it like the background. The one thing though is that since you have high grass do you have water under the bridge? A nice little shot would be how you have it but seeing the water and its reflective properties.

Otherwise keep up the great work. Me likes!

Thanks for the comments.

Everything was modelled in MAX 3.1. I plan on adding in some background plants and stuff with photoshop.

I accidentally rendered out an older version of this scene, and one of the changes that I lost was the raised water, and shorter grass in the foreground.

I was originally intending on filling the background with trees, but now I'm considering having some sort of horizon in there. What do you think?

I rendered this scene out again last night, and I woke up this morning to find all sorts of render errors in it. :|

I figured I might as well post it anyway.

Might as well post this.

The background was added in using photoshop, and will probably change in the final version.

Any suggestions on improving this image would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Just a slight update this time:

What do you think? The huts were a quick job, so I might go back and try and add more detail to them. I'm going to try and do a couple different backgrounds for this and see what I can come up with.

The huts definatly add more to it, depth probably. I think it looks great. Nice modelling too.

Thanks, Entangle.

I tried another variation on the background, and I think I like it better than the huts.

Awesome work!

I think that you should add some huts or something onto the background grass to make it look even better.

I love the bridge. but the grass in the area isnt green enough. it should be as lush as the background grass and think. can you model people. it might be cool if there were a little girl hanging over the side of the bridge looking into the water. doing this will(in my own opinion) make it look better. itll give the veiwer more to look at and will help show of your supurb modeling of the bridge and can give a kind feeling out. dont know what word to use for that. I think that would me nice.
