View Full Version : First XSI head
This is the first head that I try to model in XSI. If anyone want to view the evolution of the mesh or the topology, say it and I will post more images. Comments are welcome.

Only comments I can come up with are that the ears are a too far down on the head and too small. They are perfectly formed however.
The rest of the head looks great as well; he reminds me faintly of an undertaker . . . or maybe a cadever.
Nice stuff

I like the style of the head, and id like to see the evolution
:bounce:
Well, first of all I want to tell how I build my faces. I always begin with two images (side and front) and with this, I model three parts. The eyes, the nose and the mouth.
I model these parts with nurbs (it's easyest for me)

When I have these parts I convert them to polis trying to mantain the same detail as in nurbs. Later, I attach the three pieces.

When I have this, I start "closing" the head.

Then, I begin to model the ear like tutorials say.

When I have the basic ear I attach the head.

Now, I touch a little the mesh to ensemble the ear.

This is the last image I have... a little update.

Now, I'm going to texture it. Not more refinements in the model. I want to texture and make the shapes.
