Hey guys, i have been working on this thing for 2 days and i am almost finished.

I just need some hints and maybe some suggestions before i post it as a finished pic, please any comments, crits or suggestions are welcome.

Oh yeah, it is all done in Lightwave 7.5

the edges on the bottom of the bottle looks to sharp,
and the package looks more like a chamfered box than a package.

Try to model the package open ? would make more sense since the bottle is taken out of it :)

edit: is it just me or is the bottle bigger than the package ???!

I am not modelling something from my own mind.
This is how the thing looks and the chamfered box that you are reffering to is really close to the original one.

I am attaching a pic of the real thing so that you can compare.

AtriaLenkki: Is it just me or is the bottle bigger than the package ???!

lol, ever heard of FOV ?!?

judging from that render it looks bigger... yea could be fov, but it bothers me.. move the package closer so it doesnt look so wierd?

About the package, I ment a package has to be possible to open, you have those little widgets and stuff you fiddle with (damn I'm so good at explaining), point is: You have to be able to open the box, and that its folded together...

That is only a cover that you place ontop of it.
You simply slide the cover over the parfume so it is correct.

When i wanted comments i was reffering to the glass or lights etc..

The bottle does look much bigger than the "package". That must be some wacky FOV you're using to get that effect, cause they're pretty close together. Chamfer the edges on the bottom part of the bottle. They look really sharp compared to the image you posted.

*edit*
You posted as I was replying

There still should be some seams in that cover, unless it's a solid piece of plastic. Also, you asked for "any comments, crits or suggestions". ;)

about the glass. it looks "not right"... try adjusting the IOR on it...
I cant distinguish any liquid inside of it :\

There still is no liquid inside but i will get to that.
The IOR is still getting some work done on it.

Here is another pic of the real thing.

Need more help.
Anybody knows how i could get the glass to look "frosted"?
I am using LW for this thing and i think that the glass looks just to lifeless.

AtriaLenkki

it looks life less because its so clean.. try adding a slight bumpmap...

the edges on the bottle are too sharp :wavey:

Agraba

lol, but it is so clean in reality!
There are NO bumps on this glass.
I am talking about the ICE look in the glass, mine is not frosted and i want to know how i can make that effect.

Edit: The edges are that sharp in reality but you cant se that in the photos i took because of the Refreaction.

by clean I ment polished, a slight bumpmap will help that... if you want frostyness, try to use a gloss/specular map..
