I'll explain what he's doing in this tutorial:

He wants to have flying lines in a 3d space.
Because the fractal noise effect is to heavy to use trial and error, he replaces the layers temporarily with a grid, so he can see how the camera is moving.

After he has set up the camera motion he creates the lines effect (step 3).
He then replaces the grid layers with the lines. You can do this by precomposing the fractal noise layer. Then select on of the grid layers in the timeline. Then, while holding the Alt-key drag the lines effect onto the selected grid layer. This replaces that layer with the lines comp, while leaving all settings for that layer intact.

So in steps:
1. pre-compose the fractal-noise layer (in your case: Black Solid 1) with 'layer>pre-compose' or by pressing Ctrl+Shift+c with that layer selected.
2. select one of the grid layers (grid.jpg) in the timeline.
3. drag the precomposed fractal noise effect from the project pane (your most top left pane) to the selected grid layer in the time-line.

repeat steps 2-3 for the other grid layer(s)

On another note:
In the tutorial the author used static grid layers (they don't move at all) and animates a camera to fly through the setup of grid layers. This way he only has to animate the camera.

So to recap the tutorial:
1. create a grid (either in Photoshop, saving it with an alpha channel (psd, png, tiff or tga) or use effect>generate>grid). Turn the layer in a 3d layer and position it in 3d space. Do this for as many layers as you like. The grid-lines will represent the lines created by the fractal noise effect.
2. create a camera-layer. Animate it so it flies through the grid layer setup. It can help to detach the camera from the point of interest (Use Ctrl+Alt+O on the camera layer and choose "off" in the Auto Orientation dialog).
3. Create the fractal noise effect and pre-compose the layer (Ctrl+Shift+c).
4. use steps 2-3 from earlier to replace the grid layers with the fractal noise pre-comp.

Another tip: if you pre-compose the grid layer before you duplicate it, you only have to change the grid layer once in that precomp.)

(I wrote a lot, didn't I? :))

thx, i know it now, it means the grid didnt have any effect. a reference is it? i found that since i switch the blending mode of the black solid 1 to "add".

i got another question now.

how to handle this error.

They simply say that the project is using items you do not have installed.
The first is the 3d plugin AE5 is using. This one is replaced in newer versions. Before it was a seperate plug-in, now it's integrated into AE.
The other two are an effect and a font you don't have installed.

They're no errors, just notifacations and shouldn't be a problem to use the project.
