the Joker looks to steal the show! so scary and so badass at the same time [as he should be]!

that was the one thing i missed from Batman Begins, the dressed-up freak villain that makes the Batman comic so cool [Scarecrow just put a mask on and Ra's al Ghul didn't dress-up].

Actually, that was what i liked about Begins, no silly dress-up funny villains. Even with the new Joker, it's hard to say he's dressed-up. He'd still be a Joker even if he was 'dressed' in a straightjacket.

Can't wait :)

Yeah, that was amazing. After that and the prologue in front of I Am Legend yesterday, I am officially off the wall excited about this movie. Ledger has disappeared into this character. Great casting.

Wow this looks solid. Can't wait to see the mind games Joker is gonna conspire. Hopefully it will be the twisted, sinister style that we all attribute to the Joker. Now if only Megan Fox could play Harley Quinn..............that or a cg angelina :)

looks great

Christopher Nolan is a super good director though. I cant stop watching The Prestige!

Why so serious :D the viral marketing on Dark knight has been phenomenal second on par with Cloverfield.

^^Well considering that half the screens cut off on that I really hope the WB releases this in QT format, because this really doesn't do the footage justice. Go see this in IMAX if there's one around you.

I may be in the minority here, but MAN do I hope the Joker makes it through this movie. He seems too cool and disturbing to be knocked off in one movie.

i third that! bring him back in the 3rd or 4th. "Revenge of the Joker". or, give him his own movie... like Catwoman... but good.

Quoted for agreement sp perhaps you're not in the minority after all!

I think that killing off the joker in the Tim Burton Film was a mistake and that was why we ended up woth rubbish villains like mr. freeze and poison ivy!!

If he doesn't kill of the joker there's till hope that Nolan will do a film version of the Dark Knight Returns in a few years time.

Not sure if this rumor still stands, but I heard it's supposed to be 3 movies, the last one focussing mostly on Harvey Dent/Two-Face (a very good, complex villain that did not get the treatment it deserved from Schumaker).

But this does not mean the Joker necessarily has to be killed off in The Dark Knight.

Mr.Freeze is not a rubbish villan,.....he was jsut done poorly by a poor director. Poison Ivy on the other hand......

I loved the joker in this trailer and I could not beleive it was heath ledger, so well played and such an insanely disturbed version of the joker, and that laugh......just blew me away.

Therefore it saddens me to post this link, im sure some of you might know about it already, but if you dont...click here... (http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/01/23/2144369.htm)

His passing is quite a loss for such an inspiring and under appreciated actor. I might be the first one in stating that his performance will top that of Burtons filmn (*gasp). Can't wait to see the movie and witness how someone transformed themselves onto a performance piece that will echo for ages. Rest in piece homie.
