Hye,
Each time I want extrude face, maya crashs. Even if I unload the polyPowerTools plugin, extrude doesn't work anymore.

Have you a solution to get the extrude face function work right? Do you thing this poor polyPowerTools plugin had destroy my maya ?

:hmm:

Try quitting maya and renaming the prefs folder in your user directory and relaunch. This will create new prefs and hopefully clear this problem.

if gmask's suggestion doesn't work, try extruding the face with the wireframe mode on. i know this sounds funny, but i used to work in a lab where the only way we could get extrude poly face to work right is to do it while only in the wireframe mode, and not in smoothshade mode.

hope this helps.

I'm guessing that was a problem with the display card.

yeah, it was the display card, but hey, we got around the problem :) you also had to smooth poly's in wireframe mode. it was a drag.

Hye

Rebuild the prefs didn't repair maya, but the skigil's technic works well. Notice how it's enervous to have to work in wireframe!
So what is the method to get extrude works well in all conditions?

What display card are you using? Get one that is qualified to work with maya.
